Noir stuck out like a sore thumb. When there was danger she always tried to stay in the middle of the herd, amongsts the chaos. This was one such time where she migrated towards the center of the herd.

Amazon saw the cheetah viciously tackle the little gazelle. He barked nervoulsy, getting answering barks from other zebras. He got in the middle of a large Cape Buffalo and a gnu.

Breeze soon picked up a gallop following the others lucky her she had already croosed the river.She pulled up beside Amazon.She barked and waited for him to answer.

Amazon barked back to Breeze. The large Cape Buffalo bull grunted suddenly and charged away from the herd for a minute. Amazon saw a female lion be lifted into the air. She wagged her tail angrily once back on the ground.
Now Amazon had no protection from the side. He stayed close to the Gnu.

Brreze picked up the gallop after slowing.She stayed on Amazon's side.She barked again."When will we stop running!!"

Noir was sandwitched between a water buffalo mother and her calf. Thankfully the mother ignored her and was preoccupied with the cheetah than the zebra beside her. Noir gave a bark and moved when the herd shifted because the cheetah gave it another go.

Amazon knew the blood from his wound with the lion would attract predators towards him. He saw three hyenas. They spotted him and gave chase, Amazon barking in fear. Other zebras answered and the herd shifted. Amazon saw a large bull elephant and knew it was his only chance, the hyenas were catching up, their laughing cries piercing the day. He ran around behind the elephant, who was eyeing the hyenas uneasily.

Noir saw hyenas chasing a wounded zebra and she galloped to his side. Figuring he was better with another of his kind for partial protection than none at all. The bull elephant trumpeted and mock charged the hyenas, but to no avail. They were persistant beasts.

As the hyenas circled the elephant, Amazon continued going around him in circles. The bull elephant grew angry and charged a hyena. Thinking it was another mock charge, the hyena stayed still, only to be fatally trampled and tossed around. Amazon dsperately danced in place, trying to keep his wounded side away from them. He kicked out at a hyena, barely missing him. The hyenas tried to steer clear of his painful bite and fatal kicks.

Brreze stood inline till she saw Amazon.She galloped out to the side next to him and barked."Are you ok?"

Noir kicked a hyena as it tried to latch onto Amazon while he was distracted. The bull elephant had had enough and he charged the nearest hyena and began to throw it about. This frightened the others and made them back off some.

Breeze bucked and kicked the rat in the head.She barked and threw her head into the air as they charged on.She soon found herself nickering to the other female.

Amazon saw the herd rushing past. He barked loudly and frighteningly and rejoined them. A gazelle ran next to him. He didn't really have sufficient protection now. He saw the promised land looming up ahead. The seasonal rains had left this meadow full of grass. The animals began to slow down as they reached it. Amazon saw the first healthy grass he'd seen in a while. He stopped by another zebra stallion and began to graze, the gazelle stopping not to far from him.

Breeze put on her brakes and slammed into Amazon flying into the hard earth.She got back up and shook herself off,while barking"Sorry,I have bad brakes I guess!"She sniffed Amazon,and liked his leg.She ate some of the lush grass and whinned.

Noir had made her escape with the panic and diversion of the larger herd. Once they were safely away from the hyenas the herd slowed its feverish running and began to graze. She made her way to the stallion to make sure that he had sustained no further injuries.

Breeze grazed at the lush grass happily.The only other thing she wanted was a mate,a family.She looked as the herd spread apart from each other,this would be enough grass to last a while.

Amazon barked to Noir and Breeze, then licked his
side tenderly. The flap of white and black hide hung down. He knew he should stay by other animals at all times, with the hideous wound.

Breeze stayed by his side and would wak up every so often after she had fallen asleep.She grazed at the lush grass.She knew she had found the herd to stay with.

Lasso looked around the plains.He spotted a beautiful female Zebra.He jogged up to her and introduced himself to the pretty Zebra named Breeze.

Zumila barked for any Zebras.THe pack left her behind.Juniper saw lions surrounding her.Juniper made a run for it bucking and kicking.Zumila saw likttle Juniper coming.She loped over to her and looked for the herd.

Breeze barked,and nuzzed the new male named Lasso.She forgot where she was,then saw the lush plains ahead of her and knew she had made it home.She grazed at the soft lush wild grass.

Lasso barked to the herd Fandanger is dead from lions.I am your new herd leader!Lasso twitched his ears back and fourth watching the dangerous plains warily.He grazed warily.

Breeze barked and stood on her hind legs.She grazed next to Lasso,she nuzzeled him softly,then turnedd back to the grass.She was so happy,she had shelter,food,water,and the only thing that was missing was a family.

Lasso groomed her neck,still watching for any predators.
Lasso barked to Breeze asked her how he was doing for the herd leader.Lasso smelled the air and twitched his ears back and fourth.
